About Us

Built for the Independent Trucker.

OOIHub exists for one reason: to make sure owner operators can find the insurance they need, understand what it does, and get covered without wasting a day.

Why We Exist

Owner Operators Are Underserved.

Most are running lean, moving between carriers, and making coverage decisions under time pressure with limited guidance. OOIHub was built to close that gap, connecting owner operators with specialists who understand lease agreements, FMCSA filings, and what the fine print in their carrier contract actually requires.

The operators we work with fall into two setups. Authority operators hold their own MC/DOT number and buy every coverage line themselves: primary liability, physical damage, cargo, general liability, plus all required FMCSA filings. Leased-on operators drive under a carrier's authority as independent contractors. The carrier's primary liability covers them under dispatch, but they still need their own policy for their equipment and personal use. Both setups have different requirements, different cost structures, and different agents who specialize in them. Getting that match right is what OOIHub does.

How We Help

Most of the confusion in this market comes from two problems: no one explains how coverage actually works, and general agents who don't specialize in trucking get things wrong. That's what OOIHub is here to fix.

Educate

Most insurance problems start with confusion. We explain how owner operator coverage actually works — what your carrier's policy covers, what it doesn't, what your lease agreement requires, and what each coverage line does. No jargon. No assumptions. Our trucking insurance blog covers real coverage decisions in plain language, from what each line costs to how FMCSA filings work.

Match

Owner operator insurance is a specialty market. General insurance agents often get it wrong. We connect you with specialists who know commercial trucking — agents who work this market every day and understand the difference between own authority and leased-on coverage. We work with operators running dry van, flatbed, reefer, tanker, auto hauler, and specialty freight, from first-year new authorities to veterans with a decade of clean operating history.

Protect

The goal is coverage that actually holds up. That means the right policy structure, the right limits, FMCSA filings done correctly, and an agent who flags your renewal before it comes due. Not just a policy that looks good on paper but falls apart when you need it.

The Experience Behind OOIHub

Commercial truck insurance is our lane. We know this market because we've worked it for a long time, across states, carriers, and coverage types.

Over 19 years, we've worked with specialty markets for new authorities with no operating history, established long-haul operations, hazmat carriers, reefer operators, and flatbed haulers across 40-plus states. We've seen what happens when a policy is structured wrong: a claim comes in and the coverage doesn't respond the way the operator expected. We know which carriers write which operations, what underwriters actually look for, and how to get coverage in place fast when your authority depends on it. A-rated carriers only. Filings done right. Renewals handled before they catch you off guard.
